What are the threats we face?

Webinar description: The context for the 2020 Presidential elections includes a global COVID-19 pandemic, mass rebellion against racism and police violence, and gains of the far-right in elected office and in the streets. What are the threats we face at this time? This webinar is for anti-racist activists and organizers looking to amplify current demands for abolition within a global pandemic, while navigating an ever-shifting political landscape punctuated by far right activity, in elected office and in the streets. We’ll hear from Rachel Herzing, the executive director of Center for Political Education, a resource for political organizations and movements on the left, the working class and people of color, Matthew N Lyons, who has been writing and researching right-wing politics for over 25 years and authored Insurgent Supremacists: The U.S. Far Right’s Challenge to State and Empire (PM Press and Kersplebedeb Publishing, 2018)
