Last week you answered the call to join us to hear about the importance of white women rejecting MAGA. Over the next 100 days, stay in action with us to help deliver the presidency to Vice President Kamala Harris and support progressive causes for the long haul.
Here’s what you can do next: sign up to join us to call white voters in swing states with events every week until election day. Last week, 200 white folks came together at our two phone banks. A majority of the callers were brand new to this kind of work, but through extensive training, live coaching, and a community of support, together we made 34,000 calls.

We’d also like to take the time to introduce ourselves. Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is the largest organization in US history that explicitly moves white people to action for progressive causes. For decades, Black leaders from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr to BLM have been calling on white people to go to their own communities– the places where racism is strongest– and make change there. SURJ is an answer to that call.
We were founded in 2009 and have thousands of people in action with us in our national campaigns and over 150+ chapters across the country. We called every white Democrat in GA to defeat Trump in 2020. We helped stop an abortion ban in Kentucky in 2022 and then called thousands of white voters to put Democratic Gov Andy Beshear in office in KY in 2023.
When white people organize other white people for democracy and equity and away from racism and division, we take away the far right’s most powerful tool.
