“I AM A DIRECTOR AT SHOWING UP FOR RACIAL JUSTICE. WE WORK TO UNDERMINE THE POWER OF THE RIGHT AND BRING MORE WHITE PEOPLE INTO THE FIGHT FOR RACIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE. WE UNDERSTAND RACE HAS BEEN USED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THIS COUNTRY TO KEEP WHITE PEOPLE SILENT AND SEPARATED FROM MOVEMENTS FOR JUSTICE THAT ARE FIGHTING FOR A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL OF US. OUR ORGANIZING IS TO DO WORK IN WHITE COMMUNITIES AND BRING MORE WHITE FOLKS OFF THE SIDELINES AND INTO THE MULTIRACIAL COALITIONS WE NEED TO WIN ON A RANGE OF ISSUES. I HAVE GOTTEN TO KNOW STEVE THROUGH THIS WORK AND I’M EXCITED TO BE PART OF THE WHITE STRIPE PROJECT.“
