Stand With Kentucky: Protecting Abortion Access

Protecting abortion access is racial justice. People of color are disproportionately affected by abortion bans– and the right uses abortion as a heavily moralized single-issue wedge with white voters to build power for their racist, corporate-backed agendas.

After Roe was rolled back, the right has employed a state-by-state takeover, making reproductive care treacherous for so many people, especially poor people of all races. Abortion is on the ballot in Kentucky again this year.

Can you join us to stand with Kentucky?

Last year, hundreds of SURJ members joined hands with Kentuckians to stop Amendment 2, which would have enshrined a near-total ban on abortions in the state constitution. We had long conversations with white rural voters, listening to their struggles and sharing about why abortion access is an issue that unites us, not divides us.

This year, Republican candidate for Governor Daniel Cameron’s total abortion ban stance would endanger the lives of so many Kentuckians. But we know the people of Kentucky support reproductive justice.

People power has protected abortion access across the country, and people power will put elected officials in office who support reproductive care for all. Can you join us to stand with Kentucky again?
