Fighting the Right’s Attack on CRT in Schools
The Right is using Critical Race Theory (CRT) as its latest racist dog whistle. The attacks are having major consequences– 26 states have either passed or have pending legislation to ban talking about systemic racism in the classroom. Educators, especially Black educators, are being threatened or fired for teaching about our country’s racist history. The Right will be using CRT to activate their base in the 2022 midterm elections and build leadership to elect racist, anti-public school official to local school boards.
