The #FirstTen campaign is demanding the shut down of 10 immigration detention facilities in the first year of the Biden administration.

This week, as we have witnessed the horrific violence deployed by the US Border Patrol against Haitian migrants at the border, the urgent need to dismantle our broken immigration and criminal legal system is clear.

We know detention centers and prisons are part of the same industry that tears Black, Brown, and poor and working class white families apart. Join us to take action to shut down detention centers.

All of us are better off when we invest in our communities and out of detention centers and our violent immigration system. SURJ and other Detention Watch Network member organizations are taking action across the country to shut down detention centers that continue to tear families apart and abuse people seeking asylum in the US.
